Caleb was in a head-on car collision and suffered a traumatic brain injury. Additionally, he fractured his lower femur, knee and his arm. His family was very shocked by the incident and they hoped Caleb would be able to recover. They decided to bring in a recovery dog to help Caleb through his tough time. Caleb had trouble finding motivation to move, and with the dog helping he was much more likely to do so. Kernel the dog would bring more alertness to Caleb and it would increase his movement.
