Jaguar officially announced its first crossover F-Pace (+ video)
British premium carmaker, which is owned by Indian avtokontsern Tata, prepared for the first crossover in its history. It will be distributed under the name Jaguar F-Pace. Tata owns another British brand - Land Rover, which owns much of the market for luxury SUVs with models Range Rover.
At its core, the production version of the concept C-X17 - Jaguar F-Pace, will be "virtually a sports car," according to global sales director Andy Goss brand. To escape names crossover or SUV, Jaguar intends to call "family sports car" fissile platform with the compact sedan XE, of which probably will inherit the range engines.
